UK and Gen.G Bring Back Award-Winning Esports Conference, Campus Takeover
The University of Kentucky and global esports organization Gen.G are set to host the return of Campus Takeover, an award-winning collegiate esports conference, on March 30 and April 6. This two-day event will connect esports professionals, students, and university administrators, reinforcing UK’s leadership in the esports ecosystem.
- Day 1 (March 30) – A student-focused event, live-streamed on Twitch at 4:30 p.m. EST.
- Day 2 (April 6) – The main professional conference at the Don & Cathy Jacobs Science Building, starting at 10 a.m. EST.
The event features panels on esports careers, business, influencers, diversity, and more, with industry professionals offering insights. UK Associate CIO Heath Price emphasized the university’s commitment to preparing students for the evolving esports industry, while Gen.G’s Chief Revenue Officer Martin Kim highlighted the conference’s role in shaping the collegiate esports landscape.
Campus Takeover was named Collegiate Esports Program of the Year at the 2023 Esports & Gaming Business Summit Tempest Awards.
